FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Bangor, Maine (February 4, 2023) – New England Fights (NEF) returns to the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine on February 11, 2023, with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event “NEF 51: Banger in Bangor.” Tickets to the event are sold-out, but a live PPV stream is available at www.CombatSportsNow.com. Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur featherweight bout to the card. Patrick Mitchell (1-1) will take on Jackson Campbell (0-0) at a fight weight of 145 pounds.
Patrick Mitchell burst onto the NEF fight scene last September with a unanimous decision victory over Kaleb Kenney (0-3) at “NEF 49” in Bangor. He would return weeks later at “NEF 50,” losing by first-round knockout to Ed Davis (2-0). Mitchell will look to pick up his second win in the Queen City on February 11. He currently represents Green Light MMA.
“I’m excited to be back in the cage in front of an intense sold-out crowd,” said Mitchell. “I’ll be looking to bounce back from my last fight and put on a heck of a show with my opponent. As always, much respect to my opponent. Again thank you to (NEF owners) Matt Peterson and Nick DiSalvo for this opportunity!”
Jackson Campbell is set to make his amateur MMA debut in the fight with Mitchell. The fight will take place in Campbell’s hometown of Bangor in front of his friends, family, and teammates. Campbell trains at Young’s MMA in nearby Orrington, Maine.
“I’m beyond excited to showcase my passion in front of a sold-out crowd at NEF 51,” said Campbell. “Matter of fact, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my Saturday night.”
